Dash Change

Dash ability was improved. It should now feel better, and combining it with air jump should be easier, and more rewarding i.e. using air jump right after dashing makes you “fly” much farther now.

Reminder, dashing works bets mid-air and underwater, and unlike jumping it can be used in slime pools.

Dash-Ups


  • Dash-Ups are new objects that can be found inside the dungeon.

  • Touching Dash-Ups makes you dash without using any mana.

  • Dash-Ups are not collected – you can re-use them.

Rooms that had Dash-Ups added to them:

  • Entrance Room

  • 1x1x2 8-2 Model A

New Rooms with Dash-Ups:

  • 1x1x2 8-2 Model D

  • 1x2x1 T(2) B(8) Model B

I am going to be putting Dash-Ups in future rooms I make. They should allow me to create bigger variety of platforming changes, while still keeping all rooms beatable with no mana.

I am going to add Dash-Up modifying Seals in future.

UI Changes

  • Options’ layout was improved, added scrollbars.

  • Added option for splitting mouse sensitivity axis.

  • Reception’s layout was improved, added scrollbars.

  • “Elf” tag moved to traits.

  • Added tags for different elf types (no placeholders for them!)

  • Overhauled whole Sealing Chamber’s window, and updated explanations with some images.

Content Changes

  • “Elf” Reception Tag added to Traits.

  • Added Reception Tags for different Female Guest Elf types. There are no placeholders for them inside the dungeon. I added more tags because I wanted to test new Reception window layout. With that said, those elf types, and many more different races are planned to be added to the game in future.

  • Female Goblin placeholders got a visual upgrade. The models are still placeholders, but their heads are more or less what the final goblin models’ heads are going to look like.

Balancing Changes

  • Template “Baby Steps Day 1-3” was shortened by one room.

  • Template “Baby Steps Day 4-6” was shortened by two rooms (main path).

  • Seal “Water Dash” is unlocked for free (Day 4 => Sealing Chamber)

Bugfix

  • Fixed camera continuing to rotate if Radar Window was opened while mouse was moving.

  • Fixed Seal “Radar – Crates”. My apologies, because it was completely broken since version 0.2.2 and I only just noticed.

Nice devlog, the visuals help a lot!

If you end up having issues with the size/length of gifs due to itch's 3mb limit, you can always upload a private youtube video or put a link to streamable or something. It's much easier to do that then fight with gif converters all day

Thanks for the suggestion. I saw some itch pages having redgifs.com embeded links which play on loop just like gifs on itch, so I might use that in future.
